The Office of Alumni Affairs has been busy connecting YU graduates to each other and the University. They recently hosted two events on September 6 and 7 to engage younger alumni.
The first event, a Women's Open Beit Midrash, happened at the Shenk Shul near the Wilf Campus in collaboration with Women of the Heights, a local group of women who gather at Shenk for weekly learning. 樱花动漫 60 women came together on Wednesday night, September 6, for pizza and a special lecture by Professor Smadar Rosensweig from Stern College for Women. The event received excellent feedback, and attendees were grateful for the opportunity.
The next night, they organized a Young Alumni Night Out on the Upper West Side at Stand Up NY. Ninety-five people came to this sold-out event, which featured comedians Talia Reese and Eli Leibowicz, with alumnus Dovie Neuburger '14YUHS as the emcee. It marked the beginning of the season for the Young Alumni Council, and it generated a lot of enthusiasm and interest, with several attendees expressing a desire to join the Council.
鈥淭he Office of Alumni Affairs strives to reach as many different alumni as possible in ways that are relevant to them,鈥 said Beth Lebenson Praver, Director of Alumni Engagement. 鈥淭hese two events illustrate how we can do that, and I am thrilled to see alumni engaging with the University in this way.鈥
And this is only the beginning, she promised. 鈥淲e have a rich and varied alumni engagement calendar for the academic year, engaging people in Torah learning, business networking, financial guidance, sporting events, family outings and nights out on the town. Stay tuned and check your inbox for updates!鈥
