Antisemitism, the Media and the Jews

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 6-7 p.m., Rabbi Dr. Meir Soloveichik, director of the Straus Center, will moderate a conversation among Alana Newhouse, John Podhoretz and Elliot Kaufman at the Fifth Avenue Synagogue on East 62nd Street in New York City. 禄

Negotiating the Impossible

The Sacks-Herenstein Center will present two online seminars on the subject of 鈥淣egotiating the Impossible鈥: Dr. Tal Becker (on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 8 p.m.) and David Makovsky (on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 8 p.m.)

Katz Symposium

On Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 2-5 p.m., the Katz School of Science and Health will hold its annual Symposium on Science, Tech and Health to showcase research from 30 graduate student teams across STEM and health sciences.

Chag HaSemikhah 2024

Attend or livestream Chag HaSemikhah, the ordination ceremony for rabbis trained at RIETS, on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Witness the future leaders of the Jewish community coming together to celebrate their commitment to Torah learning and personal growth. Graduates will invite friends and family, and alumni can watch at 1 p.m. via livestream at .

Take Me Out to the YU Day at the Mets

Save this date: Sunday, September 8, 2024. On that day, you will celebrate all things YU as the Mets take on the Cincinnati Reds at 1:40 p.m. at CitiField, 41 Seaver Way, Flushing, Queens, NY. Each $60 ticket includes seats in a dedicated YU section along the first base line, seeing Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of 樱花动漫, throw out the first pitch, an exclusive legends jersey (can鈥檛 be purchased), a $14 voucher for the Citifield kiosk of your choice鈥攊ncluding Prime Kosher Sports (PKS), which serves Kosher burgers, hot dogs, French fries and other snacks鈥攁nd an invitation to stand on Center Field during the National Anthem, which will be performed by the Maccabeats. .

From April to May, 2024, you can browse the display of books by Stern College for Women alumnae at Hedi Steinberg Library. See the authors and their publications in the . The display features works of alumnae from the Class of 1958 and later.

Torah Tuesdays

Follow the Office of Alumni Affairs on and enjoy our Torah Tuesdays feature, where learned alumni are invited to submit a short video to share a bit of Torah wisdom each week. Submit a Torah Tuesday feature yourself at alumni@yu.edu!


Past events

  • More than 100 YU alumni and community members attended a panel discussion on Suicide Prevention and Resiliency on Wednesday, April 4, 2024. Attendees listened to personal stories of family members who lost loved ones to suicide, and then heard from practitioners and academic leaders on best practices and therapeutic approaches for addressing suicidality. This joint program was co-sponsored by the Office of Alumni Engagement, the YU Counseling Center, the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and the Wurzweiler School of Social Work.  and
  • The Sy Syms School of Business held its 37th Annual Awards Dinner on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. .

Are you interested in helping students with things like quick r茅sum茅 reviews, informational interviews and preparing for careers in your industry? Please consider joining the YU Mentoring Volunteer Program, a group of over 800 alumni willing to speak to students about career-related topics.
