View Full-Time Course Sequence | Download Course Descriptions Curriculum Features In 16 months, students build a solid foundation in nursing theory and concepts; master patient-care skills in top-tier health assessment, clinical skills and advanced clinical simulation laboratories; and complete clinical experience during medical surgical, pediatric, maternity, psychiatric and community nursing clinical rotations. A key feature of the curriculum is that it is competency-based, which means it focuses on key skills, knowledge and abilities required for nurses to work successfully in the field today. Students are encouraged to integrate what they learn from lectures, labs and clinical experiences and to demonstrate how they can use this knowledge in practice. This promotes students’ ethical and moral reasoning and lays the foundation for evidence-based practice.
