Pablo Roldan joined Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ in 2017. He held previous appointments at ITAM, Mexico City (tenure-track assistant professor, 2015-2017), University of Maryland, College Park (M. Brin postdoctoral research fellow, 2014-2015), and Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona (postdoctoral research assistant, 2005-2014).
My research is in the area of Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, more specifically Hamiltonian systems. The approach is both rigorous and numeric, with special attention to applications. I like writting my own software: special-purpose numerical algorithms for dynamical systems, and in some cases High-Performance Computing programs that are executed in dedicated computer clusters. Besides Mathematics I also have a strong interest in Finance. Sporadically I collaborate with software companies as external scientific consultant for problems involving HPC, Big Data, and Statistics.
Investigador Nacional (SNI) Nivel I by CONACYT, 2017. Michael Brin Research Fellowship, University of Maryland, 2014. Pre-emptive recruitment fellowship, University of Texas, 2004.
Recipient of several grants from the National Science Foundation.
