Mary Therese Creede, a native New Yorker, is a teaching artist, fine artist, and professional commercial artist with 30 years experience in creative problem solving across many disciplines. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia's Fine Art and Theater programs and has been an Instructor at the Stern College for Women since 2009. She is a co-owner and Art-director at Jerard Studio where she designs, builds and paints for the Broadway stage and creates her own artworks, primarily paintings, as well as commissioned works. One of these, a backpainted glass mural of the Milky Way, is currently installed in the main entrance at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore . She continues to collaborate with other artists and Child Life Specialists at Memorial Sloan Kettering to create permanent installations of patient artworks, one of her most rewarding endeavors.
