Covid Updates
During these unprecedented times, our prime concern is the safety and health of our community. This page provides helpful updates and resources on our institution's response to COVID-19.
Covid-19 Policy for Positive Cases
Employees and students who test positive for COVID-19 should follow the CDC Guidelines regarding preventing the spread of respiratory viruses, which states:
Go back to your normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
- Your symptoms are getting better overall, and
- You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)
Full CDC guidance is available here:
Students and employees working in a healthcare setting must follow the policies of the specific settings in which they are currently working or interning.
CDC guidance for healthcare personnel, including students in field practice is available here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/infection-control-recommendations.html
When experiencing any illness or other need to be absent, employees should communicate with their supervisor or dean and students should communicate with their faculty.
